Frequently Asked Questions

Is Healthyaa, Luton an approved Government Test Provider?

Yes, we are approved by the UK Government Department of Health and Social Care.

What is a RT-PCR test?

A RT-PCR stands for Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction. This test is performed to detect genetic material from a specific organism, such as a virus. The test detects the presence of a virus if you are infected at the time of the test. It is considered the “gold standard” test for diagnosing Covid-19 because it is the most accurate and reliable test.

What do Covid-19 PCR test results mean?

There are two outcomes-

A positive test result means that it is very likely that you have been infected with COVID-19. Most people have mild illnesses and can recover safely at home without medical care.

A negative test result would indicate that you do not have Covid at the time of your test. However, it is possible to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 RNA but not have enough virus for it to be detected. Hence it is always better to wear your mask and social distance.

How long does it take to get the results?

For standard RT PCR test (Outbound travellers- Fit to Fly),  Please see carefully read following time

Morning Session :
1. Test between 8am and 12pm and results by 12 pm Next Day (Noon) for “Next Day PCR Test”

Afternoon Session :
1. Test between 12:30pm and 4pm and results by 23:59 Next Day (Midnight)
